2007-2008 Dobson Band Banquet

was held Thursday May 1st.

 

The John Phillip Sousa Band Award is recognized nationally as the premier award for high school band members. Kevin Weingartner nails down this coveted award at Dobson with an awesome year.

The Inaugural Year of Jazz Band at DHS has another first -

Robert Nejbauer was awarded the Nationally recognized Louis Armstrong Award for the most outstanding Jazz Student

Trumpeter Jessie Johnson was awarded the Most Outstanding Senior Band Member. Jessie played in the Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, and was one of this years Drum Majors.

I'm sure I missed some of their accomplishments but you probably catch the drift that these are some outstanding student/musicians! We all wish them the best as they pursue their post-Dobson careers!
